A summary
Objectives:
• Use basic kitchen equipment safely
• Prepare 1-2 simple, affordable dishes
• Understand balanced meals (protein, carbs, veg, fats)
• Learn food budgeting skills
• Build confidence cooking independently at home
Mini lesson:
• Kitchen safety basics (knives, heat, hygiene)
• How to read a simple recipe
• Equipment demo (knife types, cooking on camping stove?)
Recipe options:
1. Chicken Fajitas / Wraps or
2. Pasta Bake / Carbonara
Skills:
• Chopping / slicing veg
• Cooking chicken / bacon safely
• Using hob safely
• Timing
• Seasoning and tasting as you go
Nutrition focus (while cooking):
• What makes a meal “balanced”?
• Why protein + fibre keeps you fuller longer
Lunch
• Eat what you cooked
• Clean-down as a team

Hello, we are Adrian and Claire the proud owners of X Adventure Activities. We have used the outdoors to develop, support and to introduce fun experiences in an outdoor setting for over 30 years. We are delighted that we have Pierre, our French chef on the team. with more than three decades of experience creating food that brings people together. His culinary journey has taken him from busy restaurant kitchens to catering for schools, weddings, corporate events, and yoga retreats across Europe. Wherever he cooks, his passion is the same — to make honest, delicious food with fresh ingredients and a touch of creativity.
