Eequ Understands the Wraparound Care Programme

The Wraparound Care Programme, funded by the Department for Education (DfE), is a strategic response to the need for more childcare options around the school day. By partnering with schools, local authorities, and independent providers, this funding aims to make more spaces available and to extend the hours from 8 am to 6 pm. The programme will signpost parents to schemes such as Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit to help parents manage the costs. The programme funding is a much-needed kick-start that aims to grow a sustainable ecosystem of well-balanced supply and demand for childcare, enhancing the overall well-being of children and families.

Despite its many advantages, the Wraparound Care Programme faces challenges in terms of implementation. Schools, providers, and local authorities can work with Eequ as a technology partner to overcome these hurdles and future-proof the programme:
