A summary

FREE Filmmaking Workshops for Young People who are eligible for Big Norfolk Holiday Fun.

Come and join us for 16 sessions where young people can learn filmmaking skills from professional filmmakers!

In the workshops, young people will explore filmmaking through movie trailers, music videos, and animations, using professional equipment in a fun and supportive environment.

All skill levels welcome — perfect for beginners and aspiring filmmakers alike.

Key details:
• Suitable for ages 9 – 16 years
• Maximum of 15 places available per workshop
• Each workshop the participants create something different, so they are welcome to attend as many or little workshops as preferred
• Ideal for anyone interested in acting, editing, camera skills, team work, or just giving filmmaking a try
• You do not have to appear on camera if you don’t want to — there are plenty of behind-the-scenes roles!

What you’ll do (general guide):
• Each day begins with some fun, games and physical activity to boost energy, creativity & movement.
• A typical 4-day programme includes:
o Day 1: Movie Trailers
o Day 2: Music Videos
o Day 3: Animations
o Day 4: Project of choice & family screening
Please note that this is just a guide and the facilitators will amend the workshops based on the participants in attendance.

Schedule:
• 10am – 2pm, with a lunch break

What to bring:
• Refillable drinks bottle
• Comfortable clothing suitable for movement and weather

A hot meal will be provided at lunch, and participants will have the opportunity to order from a menu on the day.
