A summary
A Sportworks Short Break provision includes a wide variety of sports, games, and fun activities for children & young people with SEN and disabilities. Examples include dodgeball, parachute games, team building activities. The sessions are for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years. Places are available only for children and young people who have an EHCP plan. Staff Ratio 1:4 - please note that this is a group based project and we are unable to accommodate children who require 1:1 care unless specifically agreed in advance. To ensure we are able to provide a fun, safe and rewarding activity, please provide as much information as possible when making the booking request.

SportWorks is an award winning social enterprise who, in 2022, supported over 8,200 individuals aged 7 months-102 years, to improve health, gain qualifications and move into sustainable employment or further training. Our team passionately believes in the power sport has to effect positive social change, and in its ability to enrich the lives of individuals and entire communities.
Short Breaks criteria
-5-19 -Southwark resident -Has an EHCP -Unable to access universal services due to level of need and/or require additional support to access provision
Staff training & experience
All staff are suitably qualified to deliver this provision to children with SEND. All staff go through a rigorous induction training before stepping inside a Sportworks provision. All staff are highly experienced, with a large majority of our staff working in special schools during the week.
