A summary
Treasure Boxing Club’s Southwark Summer Boxing Camp is a free, inclusive holiday programme designed for children and young people aged 6–13 years old. Delivered at Rockingham Community Centre in Elephant & Castle, the camp provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment where young people can stay active, develop new skills, build confidence, and make new friends during the summer holidays. The programme combines non-contact boxing activities with a wide range of fun physical activities, games, team-building exercises, and healthy lifestyle education. Sessions are designed to be accessible to children of all experience levels, including those who have never participated in boxing before. The emphasis is on learning, participation, enjoyment, and personal development rather than competition. Throughout the camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of boxing, including stance, footwork, movement, balance, coordination, defensive techniques, and pad work. Activities are delivered by qualified coaches who create a positive and supportive atmosphere where children are encouraged to challenge themselves, work together, and celebrate their achievements. In addition to physical activity, the programme promotes key life skills such as discipline, respect, resilience, teamwork, communication, and self-confidence. These values are embedded throughout every session and support young people both inside and outside of sport. The camp also places a strong focus on health and wellbeing. Participants will take part in activities that encourage healthy habits, active lifestyles, and positive mental wellbeing. Healthy snacks and meals will be provided in line with Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme requirements, ensuring children have access to nutritious food during the school holidays. Treasure Boxing Club has extensive experience delivering community sports programmes across London and is committed to providing high-quality opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds. All sessions are delivered in accordance with safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies, ensuring every participant feels welcomed, valued, and supported. The Southwark Summer Boxing Camp aims to reduce holiday inactivity, improve physical fitness, support social development, and provide positive activities that help young people thrive. By combining sport, education, wellbeing, and fun, the programme offers an enriching holiday experience that keeps children engaged, active, and connected to their local community throughout the summer period.

Our founder, former British champion Ashley 'Treasure' Theophane wants to offer support to children that sometimes don't get the attention they need. Ashley fought in Las Vegas under Floyd Mayweather for 5 years, fought for the world championship in 2016 and achieved 50 professional wins in his career across 12 countries. At Treasure Boxing Club we are driven by the impact we have on the children, young people and females we serve in the community. Our team of monitoring, evaluation and coaching staff examine the results of our work on an ongoing basis. Our aim is to deliver the very best support to our children, young people and females. We work with children and young people in Redbridge, Westminster, Southall, Brent, RBKC, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Doncaster. We run fun school holiday camps across England. Our staff are skilled and experienced in working with children and young people. If your children do not want to participant in some activities, they can sit out and join in when ready.
