I like the food too" Dom (19 years old - participant) What: A vibrant inclusive social group for young people, 16-20 y/o (up to 25 years old for people with special needs). Come to socialise, have fun, focus on your well-being, talk about your next best step. Go out with others. Date: Every Wednesday. Sessions are prepared by participants Example of sessions: Bike ride adventure, Retro games, Sport especially Baseball, CV writing, Road signs Time: Wednesday - 7:00pm - 9:30pm - Dinner included (-: Age: 16-20 y/o (up to 25 years old for people with special needs) SEND provision: 12/15 people in a group - 2 adults Check : https://theneurodiversityfamilyhub.org/youth-hub/nexus-tribe We are very grateful to the PFYPF fund (Youth Team) from Southwark Council for funding this group. Hello, my name is Marine and I am a founder member of The Neurodiversity Family Hub. I am dyslexic and have neurodiverse children. My journey in the realm of neurodiversity began 15 years ago when one of my children, just 2 years old at the time, exhibited distinctive traits that set them apart from neurotypical individuals. Through a relentless seven-year battle within the educational and medical systems, my child received a comprehensive diagnosis, encompassing Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, and a severe language disorder. Fuelled by my experience, I embarked on an educational quest, immersing myself in the intricate worlds of Autism and Neurodiversity. My initial educational background includes a Master's Degree in Direct Marketing, and I worked in that field for years until I transitioned to the charity sector. My journey within the field of neurodiversity inspired me to expand my skill set by becoming a certified Transformational Life Coach, specializing in the Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach to accompany Parents of Neurodiverse Children and their children. And I am passionate about making sure Young Neurodiverse people and their families live happy lives in a caring community
