Multi-Activity Adventure Week block mentored by Whitlingham Adventure

A summary

On arrival you will be met by our friendly team of instructors. The adventure week is a fun filled course for young people that want to take part in a range of active outdoor pursuits. Make new friends, develop new skills and challenge yourself! Each day would typically include 2 of the following: Climbing, Team Challenges, Paddlesport or Sailing. All activities are subject to weather conditions and availability. This is a bumper course for young people that want to take part in a range of active outdoor pursuits.

Your Adventure Starts Here

Set within the beautiful Whitlingham Country Park, Whitlingham Adventure offers a range of fun and adventurous water and land based activities for both children and adults. We are a RYA training centre as well as Paddle UK delivery partner, supporting hundreds of young people in developing their skills on the water every year. Bring on the day

Participants will need to bring • For water activities – closed toe footwear with laces/zip/Velcro fastening. Light comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting wet, suitable for the weather conditions on the day. • For land activities – closed toe footwear with laces/zip/velcro fastening and warm clothing layers (long armed tops for Climbing) • At least two changes of clothes • Plastic bags for wet and dirty things • A towel • Sunscreen & sun hat when warm • Hat and gloves when cold • Change of footwear • Any personal medication relevant to the needs e.g. inhaler • We would advise all jewellery is removed prior to the activity session • Long hair should be tied back • Any cuts of grazes should be covered with waterproof dressings

How to find us

There is no direct road access to the centre except for disabled access. Lime Avenue car park is the nearest car park to us and there is a short walk to the centre. The centre is located on the eastern end of Whitlingham Great Broad. Car parking charges apply to all users, but Whitlingham Country Park operates a 25-minute grace period for customers of Whitlingham Adventure. If you stay longer than 25 minutes, please see the charging tariffs and terms at the pay and display machines. Disabled access: Please contact us in advance to make arrangements if required.
