A summary

At LARA’s Summer Playscheme, children enjoy a fun, safe, and enriching environment where they can be creative, active, and supported. Each day is filled with storytelling, drama, arts and crafts, team games, and group challenges that help build confidence and communication skills. We also organise exciting outings such as bowling, badminton, football, trampolining, exercise sessions, and beach trips — depending on funding and logistics. Every child receives a nutritious meal and snack, and all sessions are run by caring, experienced staff.

Lilford Area Residents Association (LARA) is a community-based tenants and residents group serving the Lilford area and surrounding neighbourhoods. We are committed to supporting people of all ages — including children, families, and the elderly — through creative, educational, and wellbeing initiatives. Our aim is to strengthen community ties, build confidence, and provide opportunities that are inclusive, safe, and enriching for all.

Eligibility criteria

Lambeth HAF-funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals and attend a school in Lambeth. (Please note, this is different to universal free school meals that are available to all school-aged children) Each child can book up to 16 sessions this summer with any provider.

Cancellation Policy

This is a free programme and no refunds are required. However, parents or carers must notify us of cancellations as soon as possible, so that the place can be offered to another child. Failure to attend two sessions without notice may result in your remaining bookings being withdrawn to allow others the opportunity to participate.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
