Home Education Computing Taster Sessions (KS1 & KS2)
Join our fun and friendly computing taster sessions designed for home-educated children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. These hands-on workshops are a great way for children to explore technology, build confidence, and connect with other local families.
10:00 am to 11:00 am
KS1 (Years 1 and 2): Light-Up Emojis
Children will create and code their own light-up emojis while learning the basics of inputs and outputs. A perfect introduction to computing through creativity and play.
11:00 am to 12:00 pm
KS2 (Years 3 to 6): Robot Maze Challenge
Children will explore robotics by programming a robot to navigate a maze using infrared sensors. They’ll build tracks, code solutions, and solve challenges in a fun, team-based environment.
No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
