What we'll do
You will learn about how to choose the best wood for whittling. Your tutor, Sarah from Helyk Homesteading, will guide you through knife safety and give you advice on complying with current knife laws. You will have the opportunity to practice the techniques needed to create your first couple of whittled items. You will learn how to baton, use power cuts and thumb pushes. Sarah will advise you on how to finish your whittled items and how to treat them to preserve their beauty. Hot drinks, cake and all materials and tools provided.
