What we'll do
Step into a world of imagination and adventure at our popular fairy doors at Cary's Meadow! Children will explore much-loved fairy doors hidden throughout the meadow, searching for magical butterflies and having lunch with the fairies. Along the way, we'll look closely at the plants, insects and wildlife that make this special green space such a wonderful place to explore. In a small group environment will have plenty of opportunities to play, explore, create and share ideas with friends in a fun and supportive environment. Note that children who book for both morning and afternoon sessions can stay during a supervised lunch. These magical workshops combine outdoor discovery, creativity and fun, helping children connect with nature while letting their imaginations soar. Whether they're fairy detectives, nature explorers or poetry lovers, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

Natural Wonder
We inspire connection to the natural world
Inspiring Connection to the Natural World Welcome to Natural Wonder. Our popular participatory sessions have helped hundreds of children across Norfolk. This collection of participatory poems, nature trails and activity supports biodiversity and the natural world with hands on conservation and wild wellbeing! You might enjoy fairy doors, or meet magical characters in some of Norfolk's most enchanting natural spots - make art, go on walks and play, or plant flowers to help nature, with illustrated poems to take home and enjoy forever afterwards. ‘A gorgeous collection of poems for a gorgeous cause. A marvel of poems every kid should have access to.’ Hollie McNish
Meeting Instructions
Please meet us at Pulls Ferry, Ferry Lane, Norwich. Morning session is at 9:30am for the start of the session. The programme will finish at 12:30pm, when children can be collected from the same location. Afternoon session is 1pm for the start of the session and 4pm for pick up. If children are booked onto both sessions they can stay for lunch in between as well. Please note that due to development work taking place on Yarmouth Road, we are running the indoor part of this session from our Pulls Ferry venue during the summer holidays. This temporary move helps us minimise disruption and maximise safety for all participants. If travelling to Pulls Ferry instead of Thorpe St Andrew creates difficulties for your family, and transport support would help your child participate, please email us. We may be able to offer assistance Please come dressed for outdoor adventures and the changing weather. Children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for exploring, playing and getting creative outdoors. Note - as Cary's Meadow is marshland, if there has been heavy rain in the run up to the session wellies will be needed. Please message in advance if you need to borrow wellies as we have a range but would need to check your child's size. We recommend bringing: • A refillable water bottle • A sun hat or cap • Weather-appropriate layers • A waterproof coat • Any required medication, clearly labelled • A small backpack for personal belongings Sun cream will be available during the session, but where possible, please apply it before arrival. As we will be spending time outdoors, it is best to come prepared for both sunshine and cooler weather so everyone can stay comfortable and enjoy the activities.
