Base71 Youth Zone is committed to supporting and welcoming young people with a range of additional needs, offering services up to the age of 25 through inclusive ability sessions alongside our mainstream activities.
We adapt sessions to meet the needs of young people with additional requirements, from mild learning difficulties to more complex needs, including visual impairments and physical disabilities, ensuring that Base71 is a space where everyone can thrive.
Parents or Personal Assistants cannot attend Base71 SEN Holiday camps, if your child or young person requires this support, please contact Base71 direct to discuss other ways they can access the Youth Zone.

Base71 Youth Zone is open to young people aged 8-19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs, seven days a week for just 50p per visit. Whether you want to start a band, play football, learn to cook, develop your drama skills or simply want somewhere to hang out and meet new friends – there is something available for everyone at Barnsley Youth Zone. We have separated sessions and times for different age groups. All of these sessions are fully inclusive and we also have a dedicated session for young people with additional needs each Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Senior Club: open to young people aged 13-19 Junior Club: open to young people aged 8-12 Inclusion: open to young people ages 8 to 25 with additional needs Senior Club and Junior Club typically run on separate nights, which ensures all activities and workshops are suitable for the age group. Annual membership will cost £5. Once registered, members will pay just 50p per visit, giving them access to: indoor climbing wall, 3G kick pitch, fully equipped gym, dance and drama studio, music room with recording studio, arts and crafts room, training kitchen, enterprise suite, and much more.
