A summary
Join us for messy play and games. This session is for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years and is fully inclusive.
Active Hastings will be running fun physical activities and games for under 5s.
Term Time only.
At some sessions we will also be joined by Soundcastle and Spun Glass Theatre for musical activities: dates to be announced.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
From March 2026, we will be applying our sliding ticket scheme to adult tickets, where you can choose what you can afford to pay (with £3, £2 and free tickets available). Children tickets will continue to be free.

Active Hastings
Active Hastings
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.

Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel your booking, no problem at all, just let us know at least 24 hours before the session. If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, it will be recorded as a no show. Our sessions often fill up quickly, so to give everyone a fair chance to take part, we operate a three strike policy. If you book a free ticket and don’t attend three sessions without cancelling, any future free bookings will also be cancelled. My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
