A summary
Join us for messy play and games. This session is for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years and is fully inclusive. Active Hastings will be running fun physical activities and games for under 5s. From 2026, we will be applying our sliding ticket scheme to adult tickets, where you can choose what you can afford to pay (with £3, £2 and free tickets available). Children tickets will continue to be free. We will be joined by Soundcastle and Spun Glass Theatre for musical activities on: Thursday 15 January Thursday 29 January Thursday 12 February Thursday 26 February Thursday 12 March All children must be accompanied by an adult. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.

Making music with families across Hastings
We offer free music-making and play to parents and their children ☀️ Music and singing is a brilliant way for you to connect, bond and play with your child. It is wonderful for their development and your relationship with your little one. (No experience needed) Everybody is welcome to join in as much as they feel comfortable to on the day. There will be lots of songs, instruments and games, ready to play! As well as tea/ coffee/ snacks and more! ☕ ☀️
