A summary

This workshop is suitable for anyone that has an interest in expanding their bread making skills and delving into the world of bread - although its not necessary to have any bread making experience as you will be guided through the process of making some fantastic tasty Mediterranean breads.

On this workshop, we will explore the world of flat and hearth breads throughout the Mediterranean. We'll make traditional Greek pittas, a Lebanese Maneesh topped with your own zingy zaatar spices, an Italian pizza (topped how you like it!) and a Fougasse Provencale.

The workshop starts promptly at 10am (arrive anytime from 9.30am for tea/coffee and cookies) and will run through until 4.15/4.30pm.

The price includes a 2 course lunch (your pizza, salad and a pudding) with wine, beer or soft drink; and tea or fresh coffee with artisan homemade cookies during the breaks.

Everything you need for the day is included and you will take home all the bread that you have made together with the recipes and instructions.

Limited spaces! Click on the purple Contact Mentor button to enquire about other dates. If you have a group of 6 and would like an exclusive workshop on a day that suits you, please use the Contact Mentor button to get in touch.

The Artisan Bakehouse

This workshop is run by Artisan Bakehouse owner-manager and Head Chef Les. Les is Sussex born and bred. Originally from Brighton, he’s lived all his life in Sussex with the exception of an 8-year stay in rural south-west France. Here he developed his love of all things bread. After mastering the French language (that’s another story!) he went on to train and learn traditional artisan bread making skills and has developed a huge passion for making bread by traditional artisan methods. We support and are members of 'The Real Bread Campaign'. ---------------------- The Artisan Bakehouse is an independent family-owned and run business; the passion and vision of husband and wife team Les & Louise Nicholson. The Artisan Bakehouse comprises beautiful 16th-century cottages, pretty gardens & woodlands. Our vision has always been to embrace the tranquil location here and to create an experience where people can learn to make delicious bread & foods and to spend time enjoying local seasonal Sussex produce, relaxing and restoring themselves in this idyllic location. We look forward to meeting you personally and together with our friendly and dedicated team, will do all we can to make sure your time here is special and memorable. We fell in love with this magical place and never want to leave: we want you to feel the same too!
