Policies and Procedures We operate under a number of policies and procedures, copies of which are held at club and available at your request. Terms and Conditions It is our intention to make Elm Grove Out of School Club (EGOOSC) accessible to all sections of our local community. We will provide a morning snack and a midday lunch for children on a HAF session. Please bring a water bottle. An afternoon snack will be provided for all who attend. PLEASE BE MINDFUL THAT WE ARE A NUT FREE SETTING, SO ANY SNACKS/FOOD THAT YOUR CHILD BRINGS TO OUR SETTING MUST BE NUT-FREE. A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council: • Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meal s. • Limits on bookings – Over the Winter, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 4 HAF places across all providers in the city. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.
About your mentors
ELM GROVE OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB
Caring nuturing with lots of varied fun play.
Elm Grove Out of School Club was set up in 1998 by a group of parents in need of good quality after school childcare. We are now the last club in the city run by a voluntary committee, made up of parents/carers. The club is registered as a not for profit company. The club team includes a Manager, 2 Co-ordinators and 12 playworkers. Staff are qualified and experienced in playwork.
MANAGER
Donna Hawkins
Fun and caring. Making sure the children's play is nurtured but not controlled. I have been a Playworker for 24 years now at Elm Grove Out of School Club. I have been Manger for 11 years. It is like having a large extended family. I have had 24 years of fun, fun and fun.
