What we'll do
Learn some simple games to help your learners to understand how to use a compass and a map. This short workshop will give you some ideas for introducing navigation, nap skills and compass work in a fun, experiential way. These skills can help children to find their way, as an introduction to schemes like D of E, orienteering and generally finding their way. The course is taught through a series of games and requires very little equipment, most of which you can make yourself. No need to book, just drop in and have a go.
About your mentor
Miraclewood Outdoor
Forest School Leader, survival skills mentor.
From days out as a child with my grandfather, I have been learning about survival, the countryside and resilience. As a primary school teacher I learnt how to share knowledge and to develop learners skills. As a forest school leader and survival skills instructor, I have put these elements together.
