Young Orchardists

Rozita

A summary
Autumn is coming and we're starting a new forest school at Wilderness wood - this time in the orchard. There is an afternoon session 4-5:30pm or a morning session from 10am-12pm.
Orchards are one of the most biodiverse habitats in the UK, an ancient part of our heritage and community gathering spaces; so why shouldn't children be at the heart of them?
Over our first 5 sessions we will see in the harvest, learn to prune and plant trees, enjoy fruit over the fire, celebrate Samhain, and see the orchard go to sleep for winter - while having lots and lots of fun!
Combining practical orchard skills and community celebration with story, creativity, song, cooking and bush craft we will enjoy all that Forest School has to offer nestled among our beautiful fruit trees.
Sessions run on Tuesdays from 15th Sept. We'll take a break on the 29th Sept and finish with a family end-of-term celebration picnic on Saturday 24th Oct 12-2pm.
Open to ages 6-11 (yrs2-6), this is a drop-off space for children confident to be with a new group of friends in the outdoors as the months get colder.

Bursary Places
Every child has the right to connect with nature. Financial injustice is baked into the fabric of our economy, and those who stand to gain the most from nature are often systemically deprived of it. To allow access to those who often struggle with the cost to access forest school activities, tickets are available on a sliding scale at 3 price points.
➤ Bursary : £5 (£30) (limited places available but no questions asked just mention in your RSVP email)
To reserve your bursary spot email rozitaleetham@outlook.com. If the lower tier is still prohibitive, I can discuss extended payment plans, exchanges and other solutions - just get in touch.
Thanks for your help promoting economic justice!
