What we'll do
Join us for an exciting HAF outdoor day trip to Stanley Head Outdoor Education Centre, where children and young people will take part in a range of fun and adventurous outdoor activities. Stanley Head offers exciting experiences such as canoeing, kayaking, climbing, abseiling, archery, and more, as well as bushcraft, survival skills, crate stacking, and orienteering. The day will be full of team-building challenges designed to develop confidence, cooperation, and communication in a safe and supportive environment. All activities are led by experienced and qualified instructors who prioritise safety while making sure everyone has fun. This action-packed day out also includes a free nutritious meal as part of the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme. Stanley Head caters to both residential and day visitors, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to young people in our community. Pick up time will be 9:00am from YMCA North Staffordshire ST1 3AE, to arrive at Stanley Head for 10am. scheduled to depart Stanley Head at 3:00pm arriving back at YMCA North Staffordshire, Edinburgh House, Harding Rd, ST1 3AE at approx. 3:30pm.
