What we'll do
Through a selection of increasingly complex forms, the children will be given tools to start their exploration of woven Celtic knotwork. We'll start with simple under-over patterns, with rope, bodies and colour, before working up to more challenging pieces. The freehand techniques learned will support the children's eye for spatial balance, colour sensitivity and overall presentational beauty, whilst simultaneously developing their capacity for judgement in an artistic manner.
About your mentor
Anthea Chapman
A dedicated, child-centred, Steiner-Waldorf tutor
With years' of class teaching experience, I offer Steiner-Waldorf groups in French and other subjects. Always child-centred, seasonally inspired activities bring each class alive. Working with all art forms, individual creativity comes alive in the groups. In knotwork, focus and application are rewarded by beauty and balance.
