With a growing body of published work from within our community on crafts, skills, stories, games, nature play and Forest School, this workshop presents an opportunity to share experiences of writing and publishing and hopefully find out how to avoid some publishing pitfalls. For aspiring authors, academics, published best-sellers and anyone interested in getting their words out to a wide audience, this forum could help make writing (a small) part of your Forest School income.

A facilitated discussion will help you to forge links with fellow writers with similar interests, get tips on traditional and self publishing and find out more about the nitty gritty of contracts, royalties, agents, ethics, marketing and distribution. Your workshop hosts have written 4 books between them and bear the scars of lessons learned through traditional and self published books for forest educators and outdoorsy families. We look forward to discussing all this and more and to harnessing the power of the written word for the benefit of all those involved with Forest School.
