About your mentor
Woodlands Community Centre Ltd
children & young people project
Woodlands Community Centre sits at the heart of Netherley and provides a warm, welcoming space for local children and families and not forgetting our older Generation. Our HAF programme is delivered by a supportive team led by the Manager Jan with Julie and Lynn, our Children & Youth Support Workers, acting as the main mentors for the children. Julie and Lynn are well‑known to many of our families and bring a friendly, reassuring presence to every session. They help children settle in, join activities and feel part of the group, offering encouragement, reassurance and one‑to‑one support whenever it’s needed. They are quick to notice if a child needs a little extra help and always respond with patience and understanding. Working under the guidance of the Manager, they also support our volunteers and helpers, making sure everyone feels confident in their role and that the sessions run smoothly. Together, the team creates a positive, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and able to enjoy everything the HAF programme offers.
