A summary
An immersive experience of seasonal workshops for adults at Delamere Forest. This is a regular weekly workshop with activities designed around seasons. We will start with an inspiring walk through Delamere Forest, followed by a hands-on practical nature crafts session. We can sit around the campfire or use our Venturewood hut as an indoor craft space. What's Coming Up: Tuesday 17th March - Mini Log Coasters Tuesday 24th March - Organic Wooden Lamp Stand Tuesday 31st March - Easter Egg Decorations (Natural Dyes) You will be surprised how this inspirational session will bring outdoors indoors. All materials and tools are provided or foraged, based on each season. Each session is unique and you will gain practical skills and knowledge how to use natural materials for crafts. Our space is inclusive; you are welcome to join us and just be yourself. Everyone will take home the goods they have made. Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch with you. Teas, and herbal teas and coffees provided. If the weather permits, we will host our workshop outdoors, so please dress accordingly. We also have an indoor space Venturewood Hut in case of heavy winds or rain. Please note: a £1.05 booking fee is added at checkout for this booking, and parking charges apply at Delamere Forest (free for up to 20 minutes for drop-off and pick-up).

About your mentors
Venturewood
Education that grows outdoors
Venturewood is the outdoor education arm of The Petty Pool Trust, a charity supporting young people with learning disabilities and difficulties. We offer inclusive, adventure-based learning that builds confidence, independence, and life skills in a safe, supportive environment. Our programmes run across two sites: our long-established Cheshire woodland centre in Sandiway, and a new location at Delamere Forest in partnership with Forestry England. We offer a mix of activities suitable for all ages and abilities. Whether it’s Forest School, seasonal workshops, wellbeing sessions, school visits, residentials, or community sessions, Venturewood provides high-quality outdoor learning experiences that inspire personal growth through challenge and connection with nature.
Rachel
Outdoor Instructor
Hi, I'm Rachel. I have been an instructor for over 6 years facilitating forest activities such as bushcraft, orienteering, and team games, and adventure sports such as sailing, climbing, paddling, and archery. My perfect Sunday would be a sunrise hike and lake swim, checking on my beehives, and relaxing on hammocks by a campfire as the sun sets. In my spare time I like to crochet, sew, paint and build to create anything I need or make gifts for people.
Ella
Deputy Manager Outdoor Education Venturewood
I hope my forest school leader experience, and passion for outdoor education, will encourage more people to come on a journey with Venturewood. I feel we can grow by sharing skills and mindset together. Im here to inspire others and help them reconnect with nature in a meaningful and creative way. I love hands-on woodcrafts, bushcraft and cooking on the campfire. Come let's have a great day out in the woods.
