Wooden Bead Carving

In this twilight workshop you'll learn: ~ how to handle a knife safely ~ the best woods for bead making - when to harvest, how to store ~ how to carve simple and more elaborate beads ~ how to put it all together to create a necklace or bracelet Come along with your loved-ones and enjoy an evening outdoors gathered around the flickering campfire. We will provide a delicious campfire-cooked supper (please indicate any dietary requirements on booking), refreshments and all the tution and materials required to take home your hand-crafted items. In the event of inclement weather, we are able to be undercover - rain will not stop our enjoyment! What a lovely way to spend a relaxing summer's evening!

On arrival at Manor Farm, Alms Hill, Bourn CB23 2SH, head down the farm driveway and into the main farmyard carpark near Knibbs the butchers shop. Park here. On foot, head around the back of the modern metal barn (not the ancient black one), past the wheelie bins (v glam...), and up the slope, passing the wood pile on your left. You should spot my silver van. Turn left and we're through the gate. Accessibility Parking is available nearer to the shelter than the main car park - please contact us for details. Wildly Curious is accessed along an approx 20m wood-chipped track. The shelter area is also wood-chipped. There are 2 wheelchair accessible toilets at the farm. There is a toilet with two low steps at the shelter.
