A summary
This session is for Children and young people aged 6 - 17 years, who live in Milton Keynes and have a EHCP. ✨EHCP session Woburn Safari Park has been awarded funding from Milton Keynes City Council to deliver sessions for EHCP+, which is for children and young people with EHCP To be eligible for this EHCP+ activity, the child or young person must: be between 6 and 17 years and have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). *Please note to enter the safari you must have your own car * ✨Visit the Park for a day as a family on safari that includes an educational workshop designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Arrive at the Park any time after it opens at 10am and go on a self-guided adventure through the Road Safari and Foot Safari. ✨The attendee with the EHCP is then able to join one of the rangers for an educational activity of your choice. ✨Activities can include preparing and providing animal feed, cleaning animal enclosures, creating animal enrichment and many more! ✨You can then spend the rest of your day enjoying the Park with unlimited repeat circuits of the Road Safari, or stay in the Foot Safari and take advantage of the numerous keeper talks and demonstrations or the leisure activities. Due to the limited availability of these places and to provide as many of our EHCP+ families the opportunity to access this activity, there is a limit of one booking for this activity from April - July 2026. If you are unable to attend, please cancel the session to allow the place to be accessed by another child/young person. ✨Families are welcome to purchase extra tickets online in advance on our website or at the ticket lanes but please note they will not be able to take part in the planned activities*

Home to around hundreds of exotic and endangered animals, and the perfect day out for animal encounters and visiting wonderful wildlife. As a multi award-winning visitor attraction, Woburn makes a valuable contribution to conservation, and is a place where families can enjoy being together, seeing animals in a beautiful natural environment.

✨To assist with the planning of your day we have created 5 communication boards, social scripts and BSL interpretation boards. ✨These can be found on our website here: https://www.woburnsafari.co.uk/plan-your-day/before-you-arrive/accessibility/ We can also support with ✨Manual handling (lifting, hoisting, safe transfers) ✨Makaton ✨British Sign Language (BSL) ✨Using communication devices ✨Visual supports (pictures, schedules, symbols) ✨Positive behaviour support De escalation strategies ✨Understanding autism and sensory needs ✨Adapting activities for different needs ✨Supporting children with learning disabilities ✨Helping children manage transitions (moving between activities)
Supervision
✨Tickets allocated to families through EHCP+ booking platform are free, however if you require additional tickets on the day there may be the opportunity to purchase extra tickets when you arrive at Woburn Safari Park.
