WELCOME TO SQUARE FOOD FOUNDATION We’re a charity that works to reduce hunger, improve health, and bring people together through food and cooking. We provide a safe, welcoming teaching environment which enables people to develop vital life skills, to make healthier choices which impact their physical health and to build confidence, social skills, and mental wellbeing.
Useful Information
➕ It takes place at Square Food Foundation, The Park, Daventry Road, Knowle, BS4 1DQ. ➕ It can get warm in the kitchen - we will allow for plenty of breaks and have water available. ➕ Please arrive @ 4.30pm and wait with your young people at reception. We will need you to come into the kitchen to sign your young people in and let us know who will be collecting them. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any young people who come into the kitchen without an adult (you can leave once you have spoken to the staff member). If your young person has permission to arrive and leave/walk home on their own, please let us know in advance. ➕ Please don’t send your young people with snacks, fizzy drinks or dinner. We encourage the young people to sit together and eat what they’ve cooked. If you are concerned that they might not like the food, we will always have bread, pasta, cheese and fruit available. We find that if children bring packed food, this can be a distraction for others, and we really like to encourage everyone to at least try some of the food they’ve created. ➕ You do not need to stay with your young people! Let us know if you'd like to talk about this, or your young person/s will prefer you to stay. ➕ If your young people can’t make the class, please let us know. If we don’t hear from you, we will assume your young people are still coming and weigh out ingredients for them and set up a workstation. If you let us know they’re not coming, then no ingredients go to waste! ➕ We cannot accept any young people who are not registered already. We realise that sometimes friends want to join at the last minute but unfortunately, we can’t accept anyone who just turns up to a class. ➕ Please make sure you have told us about any allergies/dietary requirements/additional support needs. This will have been an option when booking through eequ, or you can also email us to let us know. ➕ We have a First Aid Kit, and may need to perform first aid if necessary (plasters, burn gel etc).

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
