What we'll do
The session is an introduction to the health visiting service for antenatal clients. This is a group session from 28 weeks of pregnancy, and supports expectant parents as they enter the final trimester and will focus is on preparation for early parenthood. The sessions are 90 minutes in length and held monthly on the first Friday of the month in Maidenhead (1pm) and the third Thursday of the month in Windsor (5pm). You are only required to attend one session during your pregnancy. We will discuss topics such as feeding your baby, supporting your baby’s brain and emotional development, as well as signposting you to the services available to you locally following the birth of your baby and up to your child’s 5th birthday. Interactive practical demonstrations will take place during the session on safe sleeping for baby and bathing your baby. You will also be able to meet other expectant parents living in the borough. The booking registration will only state the name of the expectant mother, but partners (including birth partners) are warmly invited to attend.
