A summary
Join us this spring for fun on the farm! The group will have a snack and then go round the farm feeding the animals, such as goats, pigs and sheep, and picking some herbs or veg to help prepare lunch. We will supervise their food preparation, where they will be taught how to use a knife and grater safely, and then we will all eat a hot meal together. The children will have some free physical play time in our playground and then we will do a nature activity before stroking the farms small animal pets, such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

Windmill Hill City Farm
A place where people grow
Windmill Hill City Farm is a green space in South Bristol. We provide specific tailored activities for children, families, young people and volunteers around nature, plants, animals and cooking. Our staff are fully trained in first aid, safeguarding and working with children. On site, you’ll find community gardens, a variety of farm animals, a play area, picnic areas and a café and farm shop. We also have a children’s nursery and indoor and outdoor spaces to hire, including a 5-a-side football pitch.
Clothing
The sessions will be outside so good clothing is useful, we do have wellies if needed.

Improved knowledge of how to use kitchen equipment and what nutrition is in their food.

Greater confidence and understanding about animals and farm animals.
