A summary
Our Forest School Holiday Club gives children a full day of outdoor adventure, play and discovery in the beautiful surroundings of Bodenham Arboretum. Designed for children aged 6–12, the day is packed with practical, hands-on activities such as den building, woodland games, nature exploration, bushcraft, creative activities and, when conditions allow, fire lighting and campfire cooking.
Children are encouraged to explore, make choices, try new things and enjoy time outdoors with others in a relaxed and supportive environment. Activities vary depending on the weather, season and the interests of the group, helping every day to feel a little different.

What to Bring, What to Wear and Where to Meet
Please send your child dressed for a full day outdoors and ready to get muddy, wet and active!
They will need:
- Comfortable layers of outdoor clothing suitable for the weather
- Waterproofs
- Sturdy, enclosed footwear – no sandals, sliders or flip-flops
- A spare pair of boots or wellies
- At least one complete change of clothes
- A towel
- A bag for wet and muddy clothes
- A packed lunch and snacks
- A drink in a refillable water bottle
- Sun cream and insect repellent when appropriate
- Any medication they may need, including inhalers or EpiPens
Please pack everything into one large bag that closes securely and that your child can carry themselves.
We spend most of the day outdoors whatever the weather, so being properly dressed makes a huge difference to how much children can enjoy the day.
