Weight Loss Walk block mentored by Active Hastings
A summary
Start your weight loss journey with Active Hastings! Our Monday Weight Loss group has moved outside for the spring/summer. Meeting at the old bathing pool, we walk for an hour in total, we have slow walkers and fast walkers and you are welcome to choose how far you would like to walk. Along with the walk we encourage talking and goal setting and Heidi is on hand to answer any of your weight loss questions. This walking group is ideal for people with a BMI over 30, but anyone who wants to get out and move more is very welcome. Well behaved dogs (on leads) are very welcome. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.

Active Hastings Instructor
I am an experienced instructor, teaching exercise to music classes for over 20 years. I specialise in working with women and girls designing and developing programmes to help them become more active. I have a big interest in nutrition and weight management and I coordinate the Active Hastings weight management programme and also run my own nutrition business. I am a qualified personal trainer, exercise to music instructor, exercise referral instructor, pre and post natal instructor and I have a level 4 in Obesity and Diabetes. I am currently working towards my level 4 in Nutrition and will hold a membership with the Royal Society of Public Health.

Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start to receive a full refund.If you need to cancel your booking, no problem at all, just let us know at least 24 hours before the session. If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, it will be recorded as a no show. Our sessions often fill up quickly, so to give everyone a fair chance to take part, we operate a three strike policy. If you book a free ticket and don’t attend three sessions without cancelling, any future free bookings will also be cancelled.
