What we'll do
This year’s summer programme at WECC will offer families a variety of fun activities, exciting experiences and holiday adventures. The children will enjoy their time playing, making new friends and exploring together. Activities this year include sports day, rounders and football coaching. There will be visits from a local drama instructor and a makerspace with fun arts and crafts. There will be trips to Liverpool and further afield where they can enjoy history and culture, learn about the environment and spend time with nature, for example, our beautiful local Everton Park, fascinating museums, the zoo and aquarium. Together with their friends, the children will share healthy meals, learn some cookery basics and maybe even try some new foods. They will learn about the benefits of healthy eating from ‘Food For Thought’ and can have a go at growing some plants and veg of their own. We will promote a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise, building relationships, mindfulness and spending time in nature, gaining confidence and knowledge by learning new skills. We have plenty of space outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. There’s room for indoor activities too. We want to ensure that there will be something for everyone!
