A summary
Join us at White Rock Gardens for Urban Football, a free street football event for secondary school children in Year 7 and above. Expect a relaxed, non‑competitive kick about where you can turn up, play at your own pace, and meet new people from across Hastings. Please advise us on the booking form if your child has any food allergies and also let the Instructor know on the day. Urban Football is all about supporting young people’s health, confidence, and wellbeing by bringing the community together in a safe, inclusive environment. The session makes full use of the MUGA at White Rock Gardens, helping to bring the space to life with positive activity for local teenagers. Delivered by First Whistle, with support from Active Hastings, Hastings Borough Council and Playsport, the event builds on successful sessions previously run at the Elphinstone Road EFT location. Come down, get involved, and help us grow urban football in Hastings. Children should not leave the session without letting a member of the Active Hastings team know. Active Hastings cannot take responsibility for any young people once they leave the venue. Quick reminder: If your plans have changed and you can no longer make it, please cancel your booking. We anticipate we will have a long waiting list for this session and would love to give another child the chance to join the fun, if your child is unable to attend. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.

Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start to receive a full refund.If you need to cancel your booking, no problem at all, just let us know at least 24 hours before the session. If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, it will be recorded as a no show. Our sessions often fill up quickly, so to give everyone a fair chance to take part, we operate a three strike policy. If you book a free ticket and don’t attend three sessions without cancelling, any future free bookings will also be cancelled.
