Marine Bernier-Harrington
Co-Founder & Director
Hello, my name is Marine and I am a founder member of The Neurodiversity Family Hub. I am dyslexic and have neurodiverse children. My journey in the realm of neurodiversity began 15 years ago when one of my children, just 2 years old at the time, exhibited distinctive traits that set them apart from neurotypical individuals. Through a relentless seven-year battle within the educational and medical systems, my child received a comprehensive diagnosis, encompassing Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, and a severe language disorder. Fuelled by my experience, I embarked on an educational quest, immersing myself in the intricate worlds of Autism and Neurodiversity. My initial educational background includes a Master's Degree in Direct Marketing, and I worked in that field for years until I transitioned to the charity sector. My journey within the field of neurodiversity inspired me to expand my skill set by becoming a certified Transformational Life Coach, specializing in the Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach to accompany Parents of Neurodiverse Children and their children. And I am passionate about making sure Young Neurodiverse people and their families live happy lives in a caring community

How it works
We’ll always meet at Elephant and Castle, right in front of the swimming pool (and if it’s raining, we’ll wait just inside the entrance to keep dry). From there, we’ll head off together for our next adventure — whether it’s bowling, painting, DJing or just hanging out in the park. At the end of each session, we’ll return to Elephant and Castle. ⏰ Most sessions are at the same time, but a few have different times or days – so keep an eye on the schedule and set a reminder! What to Bring: * Your transport card – you’ll need to cover your own travel * Water bottle * Hat/sunscreen (hello, sunshine!) * Your good mood and open mind
