A summary
Join Active Hastings and Youth Ultimate UK, for our free Ultimate Frisbee session. Join former GB athlete Izzy Collins and her team from Youth Ultimate UK in this inclusive, engaging session. Suitable for a range of abilities, with a focus on teamwork, confidence-building, and keeping young people active through Ultimate Frisbee. For those unfamiliar with Ultimate Frisbee – think of a combination of netball and American football. Snacks will be provided at the session. Please advise us of any dietary requirements when booking and let a member of the team know on the day. This session is free, with thanks to the government and The National Lottery Community Fund. Quick reminder: If your plans have changed and you can no longer make it, please cancel your booking. We anticipate we will have a long waiting list for this session and would love to give another child the chance to join the fun, if your child is unable to attend. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
