A summary

This engaging Tiling, Carpentry, Guttering and Plastering course is designed for candidates interested in exploring hands-on trade skills. Participants will discover the fun and creativity of tiling by learning how to lay tiles, mix grout, and create colorful designs for their projects. The carpentry section introduces the basics of working with wood, teaching essential skills like measuring, cutting, and building simple structures or even crafting cool furniture pieces. During plastering, they will learn basic skills including dotting and dabbing, boarding and how to skim.

With a mix of practical activities and teamwork, this course aims to inspire young minds to develop valuable skills and spark a passion for future trade opportunities. The candidates will decide as a class have a choice of which skills they would like to cover for each day.

To equip participants with foundational skills in tiling, carpentry, and laminate flooring, enabling them to complete basic projects confidently.

Aim 2

To enhance understanding of materials, tools, and techniques essential for each trade, ensuring students can make informed decisions in their work.

Aim 3

To encourage creativity and critical thinking by allowing students to tackle design challenges and find solutions during hands-on activities.

Aim 4

To foster a sense of community by promoting teamwork and communication among participants, helping them learn from one another.
