What we'll do
Join us this August for a packed schedule of activities including: Drama, dance, arts & crafts, film club, cooking, mentoring, CV writing, podcasting and more. Daily Structure: Arrival routine: Each day begins with a 15-minute Zumba session to get energy flowing, followed by a short practice of affirmation, gratitude and stillness to support wellbeing and focus. Week 1 Focus: "The Invitation" ? Morning sessions: Drama production exploring the theme of "The Invitation" – what it means to take up an opportunity, such as starting a new school or joining a new group. Participants in the drama group will also attend a wellbeing workshop on leadership traits, helping them identify and practise the qualities needed to take up new invitations confidently. Afternoon sessions: Podcasting workshops introducing young people to storytelling through digital media – including the use of cameras, lighting, green screens and audio equipment. A gardening workshop will also run, where participants will plant strawberries and reflect on wellbeing by learning how to nurture growth from seeds and cuttings.
