What we'll do
✂️ Upcycled Art: Tetra Pack Intaglio Printmaking Workshop Turn everyday trash into stunning, professional-looking art prints! In this hands-on workshop, we are flipping the script on recycling by using empty juice and milk cartons to master the classic art of intaglio printing. Intaglio (pronounced in-tal-yo) is a traditional printmaking technique where you etch a design into a surface, wipe it with ink, and press it onto paper. Instead of expensive metal plates, we’ll be upcycling the metallic lining of Tetra Packs to create crisp, velvety, and deeply textured prints. ? What You’ll Do: Design & Transfer: Learn how to sketch, trace, and transfer a custom design onto your Tetra Pak canvas. Etch & Incise: Use specialized printmaking tools to scratch fine lines, peel away layers for shading, and create rich textures. Inking & Wiping: Master the satisfying process of driving thick printmaking ink into your etched lines and wiping the surface clean. The Big Press: Run your plate through a manual printing press to reveal a limited-edition run of your own custom prints! No prior art or printmaking experience required—just a willingness to experiment, get your hands a little inky, and create something completely unique.
