What we'll do
Activities for All Ages We understand that older children and young people want something a little different — more independence, more responsibility and more challenge. ✔ Dedicated activities for tweens and teens ✔ Separate space away from younger children ✔ Age-appropriate creative projects and team challenges ✔ Opportunities for leadership, independence and skill-building Youth Leadership Pathway Alongside creative activities, we are developing our Youth Leadership Programme to support progression and personal growth. Future Leaders (Ages 11–13) Designed to build confidence and responsibility, this strand introduces: Communication and teamwork skills Positive role modelling Problem-solving and initiative Understanding inclusion and respect Introductory safeguarding awareness Young Leaders (Ages 14+) For older participants ready to take the next step, this pathway includes: Leadership and mentoring skills Health & Safety basics Safeguarding awareness and boundaries Introduction to First Aid Communication and conflict resolution Planning and supporting activities Young Leaders will be offered the opportunity to volunteer and support our Summer Holiday Clubs, gaining real experience in a supervised, supportive environment. This provides valuable skills for CVs, college applications and future employment. This approach ensures older children feel stretched, valued and trusted — not simply “too old” for holiday club — while creating clear progression routes into volunteering and future opportunities within Amber Button CIC.

AMBER BUTTON COMMUNITY CIC
Improved life chances through learning
Amber Button CIC is an independent, grass-roots, not for profit organisation. Our provision is designed to benefit the people and in the communities in which we live and work. Our aim is to encourage, motivate and empower adults, young people and children to develop their own skills and aspirations. Amber Buttons ethos is built on a reputation of reliability, trust and professionalism. We take a holistic approach to working with individuals, providing services that are needs-led and encouraging participants to achieve new things by enjoying engaging activities in a relaxed and supportive environment.
FOOD AND REFRESHMENT
A nutritious lunch is provided daily as part of our HAF programme. Our menu is below so you can check in advance that it will suit your child, although this is subject to change (usually on trip days). We will distribute a lunch booking form via our WhatsApp group a week before HAF starts so that you can confirm your choices: Monday: Hamburgers and sweet potato fries, carrot sticks, jumbo muffin Tuesday: Cheesy pasta, crunchy salad, cake and custard Wednesday: Fish, chips and mushy peas, fruit crumble Thursday: Homemade vegetable soup and hotdogs, chunky cookie (Vegetarian options are available on request, and we are happy to cater for special dietary requirements and allergies where advised in advance.) Children will also have access to a light breakfast, along with healthy snacks and drinks available throughout the day, to ensure they are well-nourished, hydrated and energised for activities.
