A summary
At Talk Your Walk HAF Kids Camp, children aged 5–12 are welcomed into a high-energy, positive and fully inclusive environment where they feel safe, supported and encouraged from the moment they arrive. We begin each day with fun ice-breaker games and small team challenges to help children build friendships and settle in with confidence. Throughout the session, children take part in rugby-based drills focused on passing, movement, coordination and teamwork all adapted carefully for different ages and ability levels. Alongside this, we run structured activities such as dodgeball, relay races, leadership challenges and team-building games that develop communication, resilience and self-belief. We also introduce cultural warm-ups, group chants and values-based discussions that promote respect, unity and belonging. Every activity is designed not just for fun, but to help children step outside their comfort zone and grow in confidence and leadership. Our camps are delivered by experienced, DBS checked staff who prioritise safeguarding and wellbeing at all times. As part of the HAF programme, children also receive a healthy, nutritious meal each day, supporting both physical health and positive lifestyle habits. Children leave each session feeling proud, energised and more confident having had fun while learning valuable life skills.

QLT
Coach
I'm a former Super League and international rugby player who now dedicates his experience to developing young people. While rugby is the vehicle, his camps are about much more than sport. Drawing on lessons from elite high-performance environments, he helps children aged 5–12 learn how to control their emotions, build confidence, develop resilience and believe in themselves. Through fun, structured sessions, children are encouraged to challenge themselves, support others and grow both on and off the field. His mission is simple: to help every child become the best version of themselves — with rugby as the tool that helps get them there.

What Makes Our Camp Special
At Talk Your Walk HAF Camp, we go beyond just games and sport. Every child receives a free healthy lunch and access to water throughout the day as part of the HAF programme, ensuring they stay fuelled, hydrated and ready to enjoy activities safely. A unique part of our camp is our cultural element, including learning a traditional Haka. This isn’t just about movement , it teaches unity, respect, discipline and pride. Children learn the meaning behind the actions and how working together builds confidence and belonging. We create a team environment where every child feels valued, included and supported. Our focus is on building character, leadership and positive values while making sure children have an unforgettable, fun experience.
