What we'll do
This is a family experience where parents/carers and siblings attend together. You'll be warmly welcomed at 14:00 and introduced to our team, our farm spaces and the other families. We'll then take a gentle walk together through private fields and woodland - a fantastic opportunity for everyone to chat and settle in, with lots of things of interest for the children along the way. We'll be back at the site for tea, coffee and a fruit snack, before families will then have the opportunity to engage in activities, to support their child's participation, or simply to watch their child's participation - whatever you prefer. Typical activities include cooking, crafts, nature spotting, den-building, fire-making, micro-farming - and for those that want to, relaxed time for cards, chess or other games in our converted horsebox, table tennis in the pole barn, or cycling on the field or join in with non-competitive games such as rounders or volleyball. We'll then have a hot dinner together at about 17:30 (barbecue if weather allows) followed by a camp fire and marshmallows or similar (weather permitting).
