Summer Wildplay at Hem Heath Woods

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust

A summary
Join us at Hem Heath for some Summer Wildplay fun! We might swing in hammocks, build a den, try some wildlife identification, use our senses to explore the area or get crafty and make something to take home.
The sessions follow the Forest School ethos of child-led exploration and play
Want to get the children outdoors this half term? Why not come along and try a new adventure with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. These two hour long activities give you and your children the chance to explore the great outdoors, with our Wildchild Team at hand to help you along the way.
We play whatever the weather so please make sure your little ones and yourself are dressed suitably.
How to find us:
Location: Hem Heath Woods, (World of Wedgwood car park), Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST12 9ER
Please park on the World Of Wedgwood car park and not the main Hem Heath Reserve car park as the activity location is closer to the World of Wedgewood car park.
Follow the Wildfamilies signs at the entrance to the woods on the World of Wedgwood side, next to the coach parking. The Wildfamilies signs will direct you to where we will be doing our activities. Wellies are recommended.

Additional Information

This activity takes place outdoors in a woodland environment. There is a new accessible path up to the woodland but off the path and into the event area itself can be muddy and is uneven in places.
Please note that due to some parts of the event area being uneven and muddy suitable sturdy footwear is recommended. We play whatever the weather so please make sure everyone is dressed suitably, and feel free to bring a snack.
