A summary
Ready, Set, Play! Come along as part of Active Hastings 20th year anniversary celebrations and try your hand at something new. Everyone is very welcome at our fun and friendly fully inclusive sessions. We will be running two timetables for ages 7 to 9 and 10 to 14, therefore will also be a number of combined age group session (ages 7 to 14). Activities will include football, basketball, badminton and more. Timetable to be announced soon. Parents/carers for children under 10 must stay in the building. If you’re child leaves a session they must inform a member of staff. To ensure you don't miss out, booking is essential - book now to save your child's place! There will also be a hang out area with crafts and snacks, where children can come together in-between sessions. Please let us know if your child has any allergies when booking and let a member of the team know on the day. An information hub will also be available for you to browse information on what activities are available throughout the town. All sessions are supported by local sports clubs and organisations. We anticipate we will have a long waiting list for this session and would love to give another child the chance to join the fun, if your child is unable to attend. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
