Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Raising Youth CIO is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment for all children and young people. Our Summer HAF Programme is led by a Learning Disabilities Nurse with extensive experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Our wider team includes colleagues who are Qualified Teachers working within specialist education settings, experienced SEND Teaching Assistants, and Play Specialists with experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, sensory differences and complex medical needs.
All of our activities are designed using inclusive practice principles to enable as many children as possible to participate successfully. In addition, we have a limited number of enhanced-support places available for children who may require more individualised support, including 1:1 assistance.
When completing your booking, please tell us about any additional needs, medical conditions, communication preferences, behavioural support requirements or reasonable adjustments your child may need. A member of our Inclusion Team will contact you to discuss your child's needs and work with you to ensure appropriate support is in place for them to access and enjoy the programme safely.
We encourage families to share as much information as possible so that we can provide the best possible experience for every child.
