What we'll do
Children and their families are invited to participate in hands on cooking workshops, menu planning and prep for the lunch meal. Children will be taught basic food safety, discuss food groups, basic nutrition, practice chopping and prep while learning cooking skills through the session. Children will be able to cook with the Food Bus team and be able to get fully involved in the cooking process from start to finish . Once done, everyone enjoys the meal together. There will be a variety of creative things for the children to do . Adults must remain with the child/children during the session, there is no option to drop off child and return to collect. Workshop occurs on the top deck of the double decker bus so stairs are involved in accessing this activity.
