A summary
We are a multi-activity outdoor centre situated on the Herefordshire and Monmouthshire border in the village of Longtown. Our Summer Holiday Activity Days are packed with fun, adventure, and unforgettable experiences—all set in the stunning surroundings of the Black Mountains and Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and on our beautiful 16-acre site.
Our activity day is taking place on Monday 24th August and it will be a gorge scramble!

Everyone will need to bring a pack lunch, snacks, a water bottle and a change of clothes.

Please be aware that our activity days may not be appropriate for all of those with additional needs, and young people who attend must be in mainstream school without additional support. If your young person has additional needs, please get in touch with us directly rather than booking online so that we can work together to see if we can adapt the activity to meet their needs.

Longtown Outdoor Learning Trust (LOLT) is a licensed provider of adventurous activities for young people. A Risk Benefit Analysis has been completed for all activities and a Risk Management System is in place. By placing a booking for your child to attend you are providing consent for the child named to take part in adventurous activities with inherent risk. In order to manage the risks appropriately, we request that all participants inform the LOLT staff team regarding any medical issues, or disabilities that may affect their ability to participate. Furthermore, by placing a booking for your child to participant, you are certifying that they are in suitable physical and mental state to undertake this activity.
Our Behaviour Policy
Where appropriate, we will be firm with children who are jeopardising the safety or enjoyment of others. If problem behaviour is persistent or serious, we will contact the parent or guardian to decide on further action, and we reserve the right to ask the child not to return to our Holiday Adventure Activities on subsequent days. Parents/Guardians will be asked to pay for any deliberate damage to Longtown Outdoor Centre property.

Cancellation policy
CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation by Us In the case of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, Longtown Outdoor Learning reserves the right to reschedule the activity or provide an alternative activity. If this is not possible or acceptable to you, a full refund will be provided. Minimum Numbers We require a minimum number of participants to operate our Summer Adventure Days. If we do not reach the minimum number on any day, we reserve the right to cancel that day and offer you places on another day or provide a full refund. We will make this decision 48 hours before the day. Cancellation By You We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise that prevent you from participating in your planned activity. In the event of a cancellation, we ask that you provide us with as much notice as possible so that we may accommodate other clients. Our cancellation policy is as follows: • Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the activity date will not receive a refund. • Cancellations made between 10 and 30 days prior to the activity date will receive a 50% refund. • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the activity date will receive a full refund.
My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
