A summary

Universal Provision Your children and young people will receive three hours of adventurous, challenging enrichment activities fully supervised by qualified instructors. They will also receive a nutritious and healthy cooked lunch. Our Holiday Activity and Food programme has two options: 1. FREE spaces for children eligible for Free School Meals. 2. FREE spaces for children eligible for Free School Meals INCLUDES minibus pickup from Weston-super-Mare or Worle The following dates are available during the 2026 Summer Holidays: 28th July 2026 30th July 2026 5th August 2026 6th August 2026 11th August 2026 12th August 2026 19th August 2026 20th August 2026 For guidance on what the young people should wear during the activities you can download a copy of our kit list at: www.mendip.co.uk/download/kitlist

Schedule

Each session starts at 9am. Please drop your child off by 8.45am. Please pick your child up between 12.45pm and 1pm. The following activities will be running each day: Tuesday 28th July 2026 – Climbing Thursday 30th July 2026 – Skiing & Hangar 51 Wednesday 5th August 2026 – Target Sports Thursday 6th August 2026 – Try Caving & Bush-craft Tuesday 11th August 2026 – Skiing & Hangar 51 Wednesday 12th August 2026 – Climbing Tuesday 19th August 2026 - Try Caving & Bush-craft Thursday 20th August 2026 – Target Sports

Which School Meal?

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE? IMPORTANT! Your child must be eligible for free school meals and attend a school in North Somerset. Before booking sessions please read guidance on qualification available on the North Somerset Council HAF web pages Understanding Free School Meals for Children in the UK In the UK, there are two primary types of free school meals available for children: 1. Universal Free School Meals Universal Infant Free School Meals are provided for all children in reception and years 1 & 2. These meals are automatically available to children upon entering reception and continue until the end of year 2. Parents do not need to apply for these meals as they are granted universally to all eligible children within these school years. 2. Benefits Related Free School Meals Benefits Related Free School Meals are available for children from families receiving certain qualifying benefits. Unlike Universal Free School Meals, these require parents or guardians to apply. Besides providing meals during the school term, qualifying children also gain access to funded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) sessions, ensuring they receive nutritious meals even during school holidays. Families can determine their eligibility for Benefits Related Free School Meals by visiting the North Somerset Council website.
