STRONG Sisters

The MoveMENt New Beginnings C.I.C

A summary
STRONG Sisters is a dedicated, culturally sensitive programme created to support girls and young women from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities across Scunthorpe. We recognise that many face unique barriers related to identity, culture, faith, modesty, community expectations, racism, discrimination, and social pressures.
STRONG Sisters provides a safe, female-only space with staff who understand and respect cultural and religious needs. The programme blends movement, identity-building, mental wellbeing support, and community connection in an environment that empowers young women to feel confident, capable, and proud of who they are.
