Stars Oakdale HAF club

We are a friendly holiday club situated at Oakdale primary school, we run in a room consisting of;
- board games, puzzles and books
- access to the WII and Xbox for play during free time
- plenty of arts and craft equipment including; playdough, painting, collage, drawing, sewing and more.
- Lots of construction materials to work together and build structures with.
- a home corner for role play with dressing up materials.
- a selection of small world resources- animals, people, play houses, cars, trains
- outdoor equipment- such as large scale noughts and crosses, large Jenga, dominoes, football, hula hoops, chalk drawing, ring toss, bowling, obstacle courses.

On site we have access to a large outdoor space including trim trail equipment, a forest school area, large fields, an outdoor gym and a tennis court. The children regularly explore these spaces as part of their time here at our holiday club.

We base our planning on a child-led basis and take the children's lead as to what they would like to do, we will plan set activities but also listen to the children's ideas and suggestions and make adaptations or include additional activities as requested by the children.

We love to bake treats and cook our lunches together at Oakdale and listen to what the children would like to make for their meals, discussing healthy meal options. We ensure the children take part in all cooking and baking activities ranging from pizzas, sausage rolls, casseroles, lasagnes, biscuits, cakes, smoothies and more.

We like to ensure children build new friendships during their time at our holiday club, prioritising team work, friendship building and positive values for each other.

We work closely with external companies to provide new experiences for the children including but not limited to; martial arts, bouncy castle companies, the fire and police department, a recycling company and also local caterers.

*All children must be collected by an adult who is over 18 years old.
*All new families must come to the setting prior to HAF starting to fill out enrolment packs and sign contracts
*You must supply your child with the appropriate weather clothing and supplies, including sun cream (however if you have difficult with this due to financial constraints please reach out)
*Children are not permitted to wear strappy vests tops or open-toed shoes.
*We love water fights (so do the children) so it is always advisable to send a spare set of clothes just in case.
*We are a nut free setting-no nuts of any kind to be brought onto the site.
*We ask all children and parents to respect the school grounds at all times as we are guests using the grounds and we like to return it as it was found.
