A summary
Join us for a 2 week musical theatre experience. You will work alongside industry professionals, including actor/directors, choreographer and musical director to rehearse and perform numbers from a variety of musical theatre numbers. Final performances taking place on Saturday 15 August at 2.30pm and 6pm – tickets will be available to purchase closer to the date of the performance. Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
Reaching people through the magic of theatre
Wolverhampton Grand is a long established theatre in the heart of the Midlands. It receives a wide range of major touring productions including drama, musicals, ballet, dance, opera, variety, concerts, children’s shows and one of the biggest pantomimes in the UK, with audiences from across the region and beyond taking advantage of excellent transport links to the city. The theatre has a dedicated Community & Creative Engagement programme focussing on Access and Creative Learning, with a variety of projects and initiatives to reach more people through the magic of theatre.
Learning aims
Aim 1
Collaborate with industry professionals to understand and experience the creative process of musical theatre production, from initial ideas through to rehearsal and performance.
Aim 2
Develop and refine performance skills in acting, singing, and choreography through an intensive programme of rehearsals.
Aim 3
Perform a selection of musical theatre numbers with a live band in a final showcase, demonstrating technique, confidence, and teamwork in a live theatre environment.
