A summary

On international PlayDay come to the Wolseley Centre to try lots of different ways to Play, centred around free choice and exploration with a specific theme from bushcraft to wildplay. It will be a whole day of summer fun for all the family.

Times: 10am – 4pm

Activities on the day:
Come and have outdoor adventures in nature at The Wolseley Centre! There will be lots of activities to enjoy, including grass sledging, obstacle course, forest school activities, the wonderful water slide, pond dipping, minibeast hunting and lots
more! It will be a whole day of summer fun for all the family.

Upon arrival:
Head to the registration area upon arrival to sign in and then spend the whole day trying lots of different activities.

Please note:
This will be an integrated session therefore non-aiming high families also in attendance. We expect this to be a busy event.

This is a family session. Therefore, parents/carers must stay for the duration and book at least one accompanying parent/carer ticket at the checkout. Any accompanying siblings must also book a ticket for this event.

Additional information

This is a family session, therefore parents/carers must stay for the duration and book an accompanying adult ticket at the checkout.

This activity take place outdoors and we play whatever the weather so please make sure everyone is dressed suitably.

A change of clothes is advisable if using the water slide.

You are welcome to bring a picnic or purchase lunch/snacks from the Kingfisher Cafe.

Wristbands will be given on the day so that photo consent can be indicated.

All activities will take place in close proximity to the centre, all activity locations are accessible for wheelchairs.

More information

This activity involves being outdoors and moving around the grounds of The Wolseley Centre to the different locations where the activities are set up. There are accessible tracks around some of the site, allowing views over both lakes. There are also kissing gates which open with radar keys. Please note that some of the paths can be uneven and boggy so suitable sturdy footwear is recommended.

Part of the activities take place outdoors in our outdoor classroom which is a woodland environment as well as park bank and the orchard with are both grasslands. There is an accessible path up to the outdoor classroom but the outdoor classroom itself can be muddy and is uneven in places. Park bank and the orchard can also be uneven in places.

There is a mobility scooter onsite which can be hired for a donation. For further information, ring the centre on 01889 880100

Please note that due to some parts of the outdoor classroom being uneven and muddy suitable sturdy footwear is recommended. We play whatever the weather so please make sure everyone is dressed suitably, and feel free to bring a snack.
